The leftovers of the short-lived rush of the lean, mean rock'n'roll of Mike Knott's secular venture. Not nearly as "offensive" as the first release, Ford still contains the none-too-glamorous tales of Southern California's losers and schemers. I'm stumbling over words for music so basic and yet so good (Isn't all good music basic? Talk with the Beatles.), so I'll let Jeff Elbel speak: "... a powerful, if schizophrenic, brand of noise .. The songs hit at gut-level and [go] straight for the hook. [Although tamer, something like] Spacehog and Cracker." Everybody wants to be loved and everybody needs redemption. Good thing love's included in the redemption package.
